Introduction

Here's the honest version, right up front: Pebbly sets no first-party cookies. Not one. Everything we save on your device lives in your browser's local storage instead — a similar idea, but it never travels with every request the way a cookie does, and you can inspect or clear it yourself in a couple of clicks.

This page lists exactly what we store, why, and for how long — plus the few third parties (Stripe, OpenStreetMap, Supabase, and optionally Sentry) that may set their own cookies when their part of the Service loads.

1. What We Actually Store

All six keys below live in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. Here's the full list — nothing hidden:

2. Analytics & Error Reporting

We use Sentry to catch bugs and crashes so we can fix them. That's the only analytics or error-reporting tool in Pebbly today — no ad trackers, no cross-site pixels, no analytics cookies.

Consent-gated, off by default

Sentry only receives an event if you've actively opted in to analytics in the cookie banner or Cookie Settings. If you haven't consented — or you reject or haven't yet answered — every event is dropped before it ever leaves your browser. Accepting later turns it on immediately; no page reload needed, and no functionality is ever gated behind this choice.

3. Third-Party Services

A few parts of Pebbly hand off to other services, and those services may set their own cookies under their own policies:

  • Stripe: Checkout and the billing portal happen on stripe.com for Premium subscriptions — Stripe's cookies and privacy policy apply there, not ours.
  • OpenStreetMap: Map pages load map tile images from OpenStreetMap's tile servers to draw the map itself.
  • Supabase: Our database, authentication, and file storage provider — this is what the essential auth-token entry above belongs to.
  • Sentry: Error reporting, and only when you've consented to analytics (see above).

4. Managing Your Choices

You're in control of all of this, in three ways:

  • The cookie banner that appears on your first visit — accept, reject, or pick exactly what you want.
  • The "Cookie Settings" link in the footer, any time you want to change your mind.
  • Your browser's own storage settings, where you can inspect or clear everything Pebbly has saved, at any time.

Rejecting analytics costs you nothing — every feature of Pebbly works exactly the same either way.

5. Changes to This Policy

If what we store changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be reflected in the cookie banner the next time it's relevant to you.
